Photo Album ........

Victor has had photography as a hobby ever since high school. A teacher had started a photography club and encouraged all his students to do their best with what they had, be it a tiny Brownie camera or a top of the line 35 mm. "Cameras don't take good pictures", he insisted over and over, "people do!"

Victor particularly enjoys landscape photography with special interest in light and shadow. Sunsets and low light conditions have produced some of his best results.

Victor's other photographic interest is taking people pictures and Christina is a beautiful subject for him to work with.

Here are a few of Victor's family album pictures ........

I really like to take photographsof "weather" from clouds to sunsets and this is one of a storm at Balfour in the Kootenays, taken from the ferry Osprey.

The Kootenay Lake ferry is the longest free ferry ride in north America and is a nice spot to relax for an hour as one tours the beautiful Kootenay area of British Columbia.

In the summer when the mornings are clear and still we spend a lot of time on our cedar deck. It is a perfect spot for quiet times and reflection; this is a place to read and a place to dream! Peace, quiet and coffee on the deck on a Saturday morning in the sun - this is living!

Here is a picture taken in a very beautiful area. This is the small park and lookout at the top of Washington Pass on Highway 20 in the USA.

What a beautiful area to stop off for a rest, especially after climbing from the searing heat of summer in the Methow Valley, and it is only open for about six months of the year as the highway is closed in winter - which reminds us of why the last village before ascending the pass is called Early Winters.

Here's one od Christina and I sitting on the porch at our favourite Bed and Breakfast. This one taken on our honeymoon!

Mary Kay's Whaley Mansion is located in Chelan, Washington. Try it you'll like it! The breakfast is "to die for" and the rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable.

Here I am, sitting in my favourite chair. Actually this is in a museum in Molson, Washington. There are a great number of very interesting displays in this small town that used to be a major railway and commerce centre.

The large high school (now abandoned as a school) is the main museum and there is also a compound of old businesses, houses and machinery all in various stages of repair (or disrepair) which is well worth a visit.

Here's another travel picture for you. This is a very interesting cloud formation in Nelson, B.C. The bridge is sun dappled and the clouds were hanging just above the morning mist. The picture was taken from the balcony of our B&B.

We are always on the lookout for nice B&Bs as we travel. There is usually a lot of good information on the areas available from the owners and there is the peace and quiet of a small inn.
