Christina ........
Christina was born in Leeds, in England and roamed the world with her parents. Her father, Jack, had a Royal Air Force career which took him to postings in many lands. Christina seemed to inherit that trait as she has lived in Germany, Singapore, Ireland, Australia and Canada before settling for a while in Northern Ireland to marry and bring Claire and Jason into the world. Christina eventually moved back to Canada with her children and met Victor some time after the death of her husband.
Christina has studied with the Counsellor Training Institute and is pursuing a new career in counselling. Over the years she had developed a keen interest in counselling and has acted in a volunteer capacity with several organizations. She passed her examinations with flying colours and opened her practice in January 2001.
Christina is also a graduate of the Langara College Holistic Health Practitioner programme. This intensive two year programme provided in depth theoretical and experiential education on alternative and complementary healing. All the course work is based on the foundation of holism which affirms that all living systems - biological, emotional, mental, spiritual, familial, and societal coexist in creative relationship inseparable from the whole. In addition to her Holistic Health Practice Christina is also a Master and Teacher of Reiki. Reiki is an ancient technique for activating, restoring and balancing natural energy. Reiki is a safe, non-invasive modality and is a unique experience for each recipient. For many, Reiki is a relaxing, refreshing, soothing, stress relief and for others, Reiki is a spiritual experience, a connection to the Divine, and for others it is a subtle healing process.
Recently Christina also studied and completed a course in the techniques of relaxation massage. This is a modality which further adds to the services she can offer in her practice.
Victor ........
Victor was born in Coleraine, Northern Ireland and spent his first few years in a little town called Portstewart. Later the family moved to Tandragee for a short time and then on to Belfast where he lived and worked before emigrating to Canada in 1967. Victor has two grown children, Carol and David and two grandsons, Daniel and Dominik. They all live in Edmonton. Since coming to Canada Victor has lived in Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
Victor worked for many years as a Medical Technologist. He started his work in this field in the Northern Ireland Ministry of Agriculture in 1961. Victor later moved to Saskatoon (in 1967) where he first worked for the University of Saskatchewan and then in Prince Albert in the Victoria Union Hospital. Victor moved to British Columbia in 1973 and since then has worked in Kamloops and Penticton. Although he has primarily worked in healthcare, in particular in clinical laboratories in both the human and veterinary fields, he currently works as a freelance writer and as a Project Co-ordinator.

Both Victor and Christina are accomplished writers. Christina writes poetry and short fiction and Victor has written and published technical articles, short stories and poetry.
Both Victor and Christina are skilled in the English language, are widely read, and have the technical skills in word processing and computer desk top publishing, design and layout.
