Victor and Christina Ince live in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. Penticton is situated between two lakes, Okanagan and Skaha, and is in an arid region of the province noted for vinyards, wine and fruit. We met through a local writers' group and were married in 1996 by Rev. Bill Perry in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church here in Penticton.
Penticton is a small city of around 30,000; it has an airport and a bus depot and is about 35 miles from the United States border to the south and Kelowna about 45 miles north. Penticton is located on Highway 97 which runs from California to Alaska and is about 250 miles east of Vancouver.
A desert like climate with pleasant winters and hot summers coupled with the lakes and mountains means that Penticton is an ideal place for outdoor recreation. Boating, swimming, tennis, golf and cycling are some of the summer pursuits and skiing is popular in the winter.
We Enjoy Our Kids and Our Home .............
We live in a nice mature area of the city with lots of trees, big gardens and very little traffic. In our garden we have apple, cherry, apricot and peach trees, so we can really enjoy the goodness of the harvest each fall.
Because Penticton is a small city, we are not very far from shopping, churches, museum, library or art gallery. The marina, beaches, orchards and hiking trails are all within easy walking distance. There are hockey arenas and a curling club, indoor tennis and a very nice community theatre. The name, Penticton, comes from the native Indian language, and means "A place to stay forever" - I think we will !

The picture on the right is Carol and David taken in Edmonton on a recent visit. It's nice to see both of them having fun together. It would be nice we we lived closer and could spend more time together.
