Who Needs A Coach?

This is a list of coaches (in no particular order) that I know personally and would recommend for triathletes of all levels.

Serge Score Currently competing in triathlon events ranging from sprint to Ironman distances, as well as designing individual training programs for athletes.

KC Emerson Has a Masters degree in Coaching Sciences from UBC and was an assistant coach with Triathlon Canada's National Team (1993-1997).

Calvin Zaryski "Coach Cal" Always on the cutting-edge of information and technology and surrounds himself with other experts in the field of human sciences.

Gordo Byrn "Coach Gordo" Has a very simple coaching philosophy: to work with athletes who are 100% committed to achieving their best in Ironman racing.

Troy Jacobson Started coaching endurance athletes back in 1992 and has been widely considered one of the top coaches in the United States for single sport and multisport athletes alike.

Lance Watson Has coached at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and Pan American Games. As well, he was an award recipient as "Triathlon Canada Elite Coach Of The Year" (2000-2003). He is the 2004 Canadian Olympic Team Head Coach (Triathlon).

Kevin Purcell "Coach KP" Coaches both elite athletes and newcomers to triathlon to their goals from as far away as Europe, Hong Kong and different regions of the United States.

Dean Stanton Founder of TRi 1 Training Systems and Head Coach of TRi 1 Multisport. Brings a wealth of knowledge from many years of training and racing to make your triathlon experience fun and result oriented.

Kevin Cutjar A competing elite level triathlete who has fourteen years experience in endurance racing and six years as a triathlon coach.

Joel Filliol One of Canada's most experienced professional triathlon coaches. Specializing in preparing athletes to breakthrough to the next level in their performances.

CMS Coaching Certified coach Sean Clark and 2000 Ironman Switzerland and Florida Triathlon Champion Tara-Lee Marshall have teamed up to provide effective, proven and affordable coaching for multi sport athletes.

Mark Bates Mark Bates works with individuals to set challenging, but realistic goals, and maintain open channels of communication as coach and athlete strive to reach athletic dreams.

Barrie Shepley Canada's National Triathlon Team coach since 1991. President and co-founder of Personal Best - a leader in providing comprehensive services to corporations and individual clients from novice participants to elite athletes.

Steve Chater Ten years of triathlon coaching experience, including head coach of the University of Victoria Triathlon Club and current head coach for Team X Triathlon.

Jacquie Lewis is a past winner of the Victoria Half Ironman. She is a former bodybuilder and now teaches yoga and pilates.

Brendon Downey is well respected coach in New Zealand. He was on the New Zealand junior and elite team and has been a top 10 at IMC. He has coached Jill Savege.

Kevin Masters Kevin has now been a full time personal trainer for eight years and has also established himself as a competitive multisport athlete and coach. His experience includes the completion of six Ironmans with his best finish being a 6th place amateur overall in 2002.

Michelle Swatto and Miranda Reece Both Michelle and Miranda are Ironman finishers and do personalized coaching, clinics ad are are the race organizers for Diva's Only Women's Triathlon and 8 km road race.

Rumon Carter Rumon has cultivated a life in sport since his early teens and attributes many of his finest experiences and friendships to his involvement in sport.
