Mark's mom and dad went into see him and they sat with him all day waiting for him to wake up. Mark slept and slept and slept. Finally he woke up and he told his mom that he hurt. The nurse gave Mark some more medicine to make the pain go away. He went back to sleep again.
The next morning Mark was able to sit up in bed and watch TV and he had some juice and a Popsicle. His mom and dad stayed with him all day. The next day they took Mark back to his room upstairs. He had some bandages on his chest and the nurses came and changed them every day. He had his own pole and IV tube on his arm. He even got to ride in the wheel chair till he felt well enough to walk. He liked all the trays of food that came and he got lots of get well cards from his friends and family. His brother and sister even sent him some Lego to play with.
